Twentieth meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee
CDCC Member Countries and Associate Members will convene virtually for the 20th meeting of the CDCC Monitoring Committee. -
Seminar on Non-communicable Diseases and their Impact on Sustainable Development in the Caribbean
The overall objective of this seminar is to examine the confounding factor of COVID -19 in relation to NCDs and to highlight the contribution that an economic analytical approach to the problem of NCDs could make towards sustainably addressing the developmental challenges posed by these chronic diseases. -
Workshop on Leaving No One Behind in the Caribbean: Building resilience through universal social protection
The workshop is being jointly organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility Segregated Portfolio Company (CCRIF SPC). The overarching objective of the Subregional Workshop is to promote universal and comprehensive social protection systems in the Caribbean.

Caribbean Regional Breakout Session at the ECOSOC Youth Forum
The Caribbean Regional Breakout Session will provide a space to present the results of the youth regional preparatory consultations and local dialogues in the framework of the 14th ECOSOC Youth Forum and the 8th Forum of LAC Countries on Sustainable Development, providing an opportunity to promote and strengthen the dialogue with Member States and UN agencies, for a meaningful and inclusive children, youth and adolescent (CYA) participation in the acceleration of action towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Caribbean Youth Dialogues 2025 in preparation of the ECOSOC Youth Forum
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an opportunity to galvanize action aimed at promoting greater inclusion of youth in all spheres. This roadmap recognizes in several of its goals the centrality of the full incorporation of youth as a necessary condition to move towards more inclusive societies, in which no one is left behind, on a path to sustainable development. However, youth in the Caribbean face many challenges that need to be addressed as precursors to creating environments that enable them to reach their maximum potential to contribute to the achievement of SDGs by 2030, thereby leaving a legacy for future youth generations.
Skill WAVE: Workshop for Action, Vision and Entrepreneurship - Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
ECLAC Caribbean will be hosting a series of capacity building workshops, meant to build entrepreneurship skills among target groups in each country. The workshops should provide tools necessary to enhance entrepreneurship and related business activities, with priority given to women.

Trinidad and Tobago to Chair UN Development Meetings for Countries of the Caribbean
Minister of Planning and Development Pennelope Beckles-Robinson is set to chair the 30th meeting of the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee (CDCC), at which ministers and other high-level representatives from over 20 Caribbean member countries, along with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Jose Manuel Salazar Xirinachs, will gather to discuss the sustainable development of the subregion.
