XVI Conferencia Regional sobre la Mujer de América Latina y el Caribe
La XVI Conferencia Regional sobre la Mujer se realizará en la Ciudad de México del 12 al 15 de agosto de 2025, y su tema a tratar será “las transformaciones en los ámbitos político, económico, social, cultural y ambiental para impulsar la sociedad del cuidado y la igualdad de género”.
Cuadragésimo período de sesiones de la CEPAL
El cuadragésimo período de sesiones de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) tendrá lugar del 9 al 11 de octubre de 2024 en Lima, en virtud de la resolución 766(XXXIX), aprobada en el trigésimo noveno período de sesiones de la CEPAL, celebrado en Buenos Aires del 24 al 26 de octubre de 2022. La reunión se realizará de conformidad con el calendario de conferencias de la CEPAL para el período 2023-2024.

In his first official visit to Washington D.C. since being appointed Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs was a speaker at the 54th Annual Washington Conference: Advancing the Business Case for the Americas, organized by the Council of the Americas, and at the Wilson Center’s event No More Lost Decades: Opportunities From Nearshoring, the Energy Transition, and Other Drivers of Sustainable Growth, while also participating in meetings with the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Inter-American Dialogue, Global Environment Facility and Johns Hopkins University, with the goal of sharing ECLAC’s goals and priorities and discussing collaboration opportunities.
