The First Meeting of Environmental Information: Progress and Challenges towards Environmental Governance was held on December 3-4, 2013 at ECLAC's headquarters in Santiago, Chile.

The event was organized jointly by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC ) and the Ministry of Environment of Chile. The objectives of the conference were to meet and survey the various actions and challenges in environmental reporting in Chile and elsewhere in the region to coordinate efforts for moving towards environmental governance. The meeting was aimed at producers and users of environmental information: representatives from government, international organizations, civil society and academia.
