Sustainable development and human settlements
The ECLAC mission in the area of sustainable development and human settlements is to contribute to evaluation of progress in public policies, instruments and institutions, with a view to promoting more inclusive economic activity with a smaller environmental footprint in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Accordingly, ECLAC addresses the three dimensions of sustainable development simultaneously. In sum, the ECLAC’s efforts are aimed at translating the sustainable development vision of Latin America and the Caribbean into operative public policies.

La tercera edición del curso presencial dirigido a profesionales del ámbito de la planificación y la gestión urbana busca entregar herramientas para el análisis y la discusión de temas críticos para la toma de decisiones estratégicas que contribuyan al desarrollo urbano sostenible.
Seventh meeting of the Committee to Support Implementation and Compliance
The seventh session of the Implementation and Compliance Support Committee will be held in person in Panama City on October 9, 2025, between 9:00 and 11:00 Panama City time. The session is open to the public upon registration.
