Located in Buenos Aires, the ECLAC office in Argentina was created in December 1973 by virtue of a cooperation agreement between the Office of the Executive Secretary of ECLAC and the Government of Argentina. The new office started work in 1974. In March 2002, senior cabinet members of the Office of the President of Argentina and the Deputy Executive Secretary of ECLAC signed a new Cooperation Agreement between the Commission and the Government of Argentina.

Organizado por el Instituto Latinoamericano de Planificación Económica y Social (ILPES) de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe, CEPAL y la Universidad Nacional de Salta, en colaboración con la Sociedad Alemana para la Cooperación Internacional (GIZ), en el marco del Proyecto “Cooperación Regional en Minería Sustentable en los países andinos” MinSus IV y la colaboración de la Red Latinoamericana de Investigación y el Desarrollo de Políticas Públicas.
Fortieth session of ECLAC
The fortieth session of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will be held from 9 to 11 October 2024 in Lima, pursuant to resolution 766(XXXIX), adopted at the thirty-ninth session of ECLAC, held in Buenos Aires from 24 to 26 October 2022. The meeting will be held in accordance with the ECLAC calendar of conferences for the period 2023–2024.
