Webinar: The UCL Research Data Repository

On September 10th, Paul Ayris, of the University College London (UCL), presented the Data Repository of that University, within the framework of the Mini Workshop Series on Data Management of Research and Open Science, organized by the Library of the ECLAC.

On September 10th, Paul Ayris presented the UCL Data Repository project, after two years of collaboration with the Figshare provider, it was launched in June 2019. This free and open service allows all UCL researchers publish, preserve and share data that supports research or other potentially useful data. Through this webinar, you have the opportunity to know how this project was outlined, organized and implemented, following the FAIR and Open Science principles.

Paul Ayris is  Pro-Vice-Provost (UCL Library Services). He is also the UCL Copyright Officer. Paul was the President of LIBER from 2010-2014. He is Co-Chair of the LERU (League of European Research Universities) Community of Chief Information Officers. He chairs the OAI Organizing Committee for the CERN Workshops on Innovations in Scholarly Communication. He is the Chair of JISC Collections’ Electronic Information Resources Working Group. On 1 August 2013, Paul also became Chief Executive of UCL Press. He is also a member of the Provost’s Leadership Team in UCL. He has a Ph.D. in Ecclesiastical History and publishes on English Reformation Studies.
