Escazú Agreement Secretariat takes part in the eleventh InforMEA Steering Committee meeting

The eleventh Steering Committee meeting of Informea was held virtually on 26 November 2020. The meeting -which annually gathers all secretariats of United Nations Multilateral Environmental Agreements- reviewed the progress made by the working groups including on e-learning, indexing and outreach. 

The Escazú Agreement Secretariat intervened in the high-level segment together with Executive Secretaries of environmental treaties. It presented the developments since the last meeting including the prompt entry into force of the regional agreement, its participation in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change COP25 and the preparation of the online course "Introductory Course on SDG 16 and access rights, the Aarhus Convention, and the Escazú Agreement."
