Declaration of the 7th Binational Meeting of Ministers Chile-Argentina reiterates the commitment of both countries with the regional process on Principle 10

Both countries renewed their commitment with the regional process aimed at deepening the implementation of these concepts.

In the Declaration of the 7th Binational Meeting of Ministers Chile-Argentina, both countries reaffirmed their commitment with the inclusion of environmental considerations in public policies and with an economic growth and social development that are compatible with sustainable development principles. In particular, they recalled the relevance and the full force and validity of Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration of 1992. Such Principle underscores that environmental management shall incorporate appropriate mechanisms to access public information, facilitate and promote public participation and grant effective access to judicial and administrative procedures, in accordance with national policies and fully respecting national sovereignty. In addition, both countries renewed their commitment with the regional process aimed at deepening the implementation of these concepts.
