The Principle 10 regional process was showcased at the “Eye on Earth Summit: Informed decision-making for sustainable development” in the United Arab Emirates

ECLAC, in its capacity as Technical Secretariat of the regional process on Principle 10 in Latin America and the Caribbean, participated in two events in the framework of the Eye on Earth Summit that took place from 6 to 8 October 2015 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).

ECLAC, in its capacity as Technical Secretariat of the regional process on Principle 10 in Latin America and the Caribbean, participated in two events in the framework of the Eye on Earth Summit that will took place from 6 to 8 October 2015 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).

On 6 October, the event “Putting Rio Principle 10 in Action: Launch of the Implementation Guide for the UNEP Bali Guidelines for the Development of National Legislation on Access to Information, Public Participation and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters” was organized by UNEP, UNITAR and the World Resources Institute.

In turn, on 8 October the session “Principle 10 of Rio Declaration – for better environmental governance and access for all in different regions” was held. In addition to ECLAC, the elected representatives of the public for the regional process made interventions.
