II Experts Meeting of the Community of Practice in Agricultural Statistics of Mexico, Central America and the Dominican Republic

ECLAC Mexico will be hosting the Second Experts Meeting of the Community of Practice in Agricultural Statistics on September 10th, 2024.

Continuing with tradition of promoting the dissemination of information in the field of agricultural statistics in Mexico, the Central American region, and parts of the Caribbean, this experts meeting aims to gather researchers and officials from leading international organizations, National Statistical Offices, and INGOs to discuss the latest advances in methodologies and experimentations in the intersection of agricultural development under the context of climate change. This meeting emphasizes the novel use of data centric as well as classical statistical techniques and hopes to introduce participants to contemporary case studies in topics that are more pertinent to the region´s agricultural activities than ever. It also aims to strengthen the existing community of practitioners through regular interactions and to encourage an open culture of data sharing and transparency.
