Forum on National Transfer Accounts

The forum is organized within the framework of the UN Development Account (10th Tranche) project on "Demographic transition: opportunities and challenges to achieve the SDGs in Latin America and the Caribbean", coordinated by CELADE-Population Division of ECLAC with the aim of enhancing capacities of the selected states to integrate population dynamics into their planning policies.

The objective of this forum is to discuss the economic and social implications of the demographic transition and their impact for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and for public policymaking in Colombia and Latin America and the Caribbean, emphasizing gender inequalities, based on the main findings of the National Transfer Accounts (NTA) and National Time Transfer Accounts (NTTA) study.

This forum will feature a presentation of the main results of National Transfer Accounts (NTA) and National Time Transfer Accounts (NTTA) of Colombia and of other countries in the region and the world, with emphasis on the gender and intergenerational gaps. The forum will include a discussion panel and debate with the public.
