Twenty-fifth session of the Committee of the Whole of ECLAC

The Twenty-fifth session of the Committee of the Whole was held 9 February 2009 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City (ECOSOC Chamber). This Ad Hoc Committee allowed governments of its member states to meet between the official sessions of the Commission.

On this occasion, ECLAC Member States considered the following topics:

Outlook and prospects for Latin America and Caribbean in light of the crisis of 2008-2009
Priority tasks for ECLAC in providing support to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean during the crisis

This meeting was headed by ECLAC Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena.
