Regional Meeting of the National Transfers Account Project in Latin America and the Caribbean - Cuba

Latin America and Caribbean regional meeting in the context of the CEPAL/IDRC Project "Ageing and Development: National Transfers Accounts (NTA) - Latin America and the Caribbean ", with the general purpose of presenting and discussing progress in project implementation by countries to date. As Latin America and the Caribbean stands as one of the most unequal regions in the world, countries that have already completed national transfers accounts for at least one year, provided an estimation of public transfers by socioeconomic status, showing the importance of intergenerational transfers according to level of education. New countries in the project (Argentina, Colombia, Jamaica and Peru) presented a first estimation of the National Transfers Accounts and its importance to their societies
