Alicia Bárcena, Executive Secretary of the UN regional commission, led the launch of the revamped portal and stressed the importance of the interoperability of information through open data.
The updated portal will be announced on Friday, October 15 by Alicia Bárcena in a virtual meeting attended by high-level representatives from the global statistics community.
The event, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Statistics Division, was attended by more than 45 people from 11 national and local institutions in Uruguay.
The Executive Committee of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC will hold its seventeenth meeting on October 3-4 at ECLAC’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile.
