Call for Speakers on Open Science

We continue the conversation and our webinar series on Open Science in 2023 and invite you to showcase your experiences and initiatives.

The theme for our upcoming webinar series is “Best practices and lessons learned from Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond.”

After successful webinar series in 2022, 2021 and 2020, we want to continue the exchange of ideas, best practices and lessons learned by highlighting specific initiatives, projects, and innovations in the field.

Engage in conversation with the Open Science community. We invite you to share your experiences and send us a proposal for a 30-minute presentation on Open Science. The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session.

Submit an abstract for a presentation covering topics including (but not limited to):

  • Projects that have contributed to greater accessibility and inclusivity in Open Science
  • Development and implementation of policies and strategies for Open Science 
  • Research Data Management
  • Data Repositories and Infrastructure for Open Science
  • Open Journals and books
  • Best practices and lessons learned from using new digital tools, AI and data science

The proposal should include a brief description of your initiative and how it contributes to Open Science in the region (maximum 500 words). You may also submit relevant links and supporting documents with the proposal. Please share your title, affiliation, brief CV and contact details along with the proposal.

Deadline: 31 January 2023
