The objective of this study is to perform a subregional review of the status of implementation of the Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of NCDs 2013-2020 in Caribbean countries with a view to determine progress made towards meeting the six objectives and the nine voluntary global targets of the Action Plan.  The assessment should be contextualized within the Port of Spain Declaration on Non-Communicable Diseases, the SAMOA Pathway (as it relates to the non-communicable diseases commitments) and the Political Declarations and Outcome Document of the UN General Assembly on the Prevention and Control of NCDs.

The review should identify cost-effective, affordable and evidence-based interventions and good practices (including innovation in health services, health systems, and health care financing) at the sub-national level that could be scaled up nationally or at the national level that could be adopted across the Caribbean to treat and/or prevent NCDs and their risk factor.
