Chile presents the Principle 10 regional process at the 1st Africa Colloquium on Environmental Rule of Law

In its capacity as co-chair of the Presiding Officers of the Negotiating Committee, the Government of Chile presented the regional process on Principle 10 at the 1st Africa Colloquium on Environmental Rule of Law - Towards Strengthened Environmental Governance, Justice and Law.

In its capacity as co-chair of the Presiding Officers of the Negotiating Committee, the Government of Chile presented the regional process on Principle 10 at the 1st Africa Colloquium on Environmental Rule of Law - Towards Strengthened Environmental Governance, Justice and Law.

His Excellency Konrad Paulsen, Ambassador of Chile to Kenya, delivered the presentation where he briefly summarized the preparatory phase of the process and highlighted the current negotiation phase of the regional agreement. In addition, Ambassador Paulsen recalled the synergies between the future regional agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Africa is currently exploring the possibility of initiating a similar process to that of Latin America and the Caribbean.
