On February 24 and 25, 2022, the Second Regional Technical Workshop for Vaccine Manufacturing in Latin America and the Caribbean was held as a result of the cooperation and joint efforts made by the Government of Mexico, CEPI, PAHO and ECLAC.
The organization’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, sent a message to the XII Meeting of Foreign Ministers of this group of countries, held in Buenos Aires, and signed two cooperation agreements with Argentina and Mexico.

Representatives of government, international organizations, the private sector and civil society participated in debates on the second day of the fourth meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, which is being held virtually.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Alicia Bárcena, the Commission’s Executive Secretary, and César Núñez, Regional Director of UNAIDS for Latin America.
