The XXXVI Regional Seminar on Fiscal Policy concluded today at ECLAC’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile, having brought together authorities from 13 countries’ Finance Ministries, experts and prominent scholars at a global level.
The organization’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, reiterated the importance of reducing the high level of tax evasion and illicit financial flows, upon presenting the “Fiscal Panorama of Latin America and the Caribbean 2019” in Washington.
The traditional event will be held on March 23-24, 2017 in Santiago, Chile, and will be attended by finance ministers and undersecretaries and other authorities from countries in the region.
Con datos proyectados al 2013, la pobreza estaría afectando a unos 164 millones de personas en la región, igual número que en 2012, consigna el estudio que aborda el fenómeno también desde una perspectiva multidimensional.
