Prior to that, both authorities spoke at a virtual side event on Development in Transition.

At the conclusion of the Fifth Meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, representatives from the region committed to redoubling efforts to effectively implement the 2030 Agenda. Authorities and delegates also paid a heartfelt tribute to Alicia Bárcena, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary.
