The Sixty-fourth Meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean was held virtually on February 8-9.
On Wednesday, February 8 and Thursday, February 9, the 64th Meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean will be held virtually.
Alberto Fernández delivered a keynote lecture during a high-level meeting at ECLAC’s headquarters in which the United Nations organization’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, participated along with the Rector of the University of Chile, Ennio Vivaldi.
The high-level event “Paths Toward Equality and Development: Latin America-Norway Dialogue” will take place on March 30-31 at ECLAC’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile.
"Those whose mother was also deprived of an education, who live in a poor community, or who have a disability face an even steeper climb", states the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, in his message.
