Authorities and delegates from the region’s countries concluded the seventh meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development with a firm commitment to accelerate the pace for achieving the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The seventh report on regional progress and challenges in relation to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was presented by José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary.
ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, led a meeting with representatives of Chile, Guatemala and Guyana on how the UN system can support countries on their path toward sustainable development.
The second meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development came to a close in Santiago, Chile with the renewed commitment by nations to advance toward meeting the Agenda’s goals.
