Thirtieth session of the Committee of the Whole

The thirtieth session of the Committee of the Whole has been convened by the Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Government of Peru, pursuant to resolution 687(XXXV), adopted by ECLAC. In resolution 687(XXXV), ECLAC “recognizes that the session of the Commission is an important forum for regional discussion for advancing the discussions on the regional vision with respect to the post-2015 development agenda and the sustainable development goals and requests the secretariat, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 67/290, to follow up, from a regional perspective, on the relevant issues of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development and the Economic and Social Council, within the framework of the Regional Implementation Forum on Sustainable Development, established pursuant to resolution 602(XXX), adopted in San Juan at the thirtieth session”.
