The library of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is located in the building of the United Nations in Santiago, Chile. The library was created in 1948 to provide specialized information services related to the subject of economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean, in support of the work program of the Commission.
