Pobreza en América Latina volvió a niveles prepandemia en 2022, informó la CEPAL con llamado urgente a avanzar en inclusión laboral

Pese a la mejora en los indicadores, más de 180 millones de personas en la región no cuentan con ingresos suficientes para cubrir sus necesidades básicas y, entre ellas, 70 millones no tienen ingresos para adquirir una canasta básica de alimentos, advierte la Comisión en su informe Panorama Social de América Latina y el Caribe 2023.

Caribbean Must Build Knowledge Economy – ECLAC Caribbean Development Seminar 

Speaking at a development Seminar, part of ECLAC Caribbean’s meeting of the Monitoring Committee, the Chair of the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee (CDCC), and Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation of Suriname Albert Ramdin urged countries of the Caribbean to leverage their vast human resources to develop knowledge economies.
